LEGO® Serious Play®
Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to attend an incredible workshop centered around LEGO® Serious Play®!
In this methodology, participants use LEGO® bricks to build models that express their ideas in response to a given question. What stood out the most for me was how LEGO® can be a powerful tool for fostering psychological safety and inclusivity, making it perfect for diverse teams and neurodivergent individuals.
Some key takeaways include:
Unlocking Creativity: LEGO® Serious Play® helps bring out ideas without the pressure of artistic skills, encouraging everyone to contribute.
Versatile Applications: This hands-on approach can be applied across various contexts, including different stages of the design process, strategic planning, team building, and helping cross-functional teams speak the same language.
A big thank you to the Vancouver Design Community for hosting and Dr. David Newman, for facilitating such an amazing event! It was inspiring to see how LEGO® Serious Play® can enhance collaboration and problem-solving in a fun vet meaningful wav.

Looking forward to integrating these insights into future design projects.
