InterGenerations

From February to December, I volunteered as a teacher for InterGenerations, a social impact initiative by UXLeris. The program aimed to teach elderly individuals how to use mobile phones and apps, empowering them to engage with technology and improve their digital literacy.

During my time as a volunteer, I:

📱 Taught weekly in-person classes to the elderly, covering topics like using the phone camera, changing settings, posting on social media, and more
📱 Collaborated with 10+ team members to deliver interactive lessons and ensure that all participants felt comfortable and confident in using mobile apps
📱 Created written materials and video recordings to help participants review and retain the lessons, ensuring they had access to helpful resources between classes

This rewarding volunteer experience led to an internship project with UXLeris, where I designed an engaging web platform called Grandma Tech to support the elderly in continuing their learning journey. The platform enabled elders to revisit topics covered in class, complete exercises, and expanded the reach of the project, allowing elders across Brazil to benefit from the initiative.
